ACEs AND RESILIENCY

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) refers to a range of events that a child can experience, which leads to stress and can result in trauma and chronic stress responses. Multiple stressors impact a the developing brain and has been linked to high-risk behaviors, chronic diseases and negative health outcomes in adulthood (smoking, diabetes and heart disease).

Resiliency is a set of protective factors within a person that manages positive adjustments from life's predicaments. Cultivating strong, stable relationships and using those supports builds resiliency. Link to the questionnaires and scores on "ACEs" and "Resiliency" here:
